My wife Donna Martinez and I had a dream of becoming our own small business owners and when we saw the opportunity to earn extra money by working part time on month ends as temps for some of the clients that I was servicing mailing equipment for we jumped on it.

I continued to work full time while Donna took on the responsibilities of the back-office duties like payroll, hiring and marketing for DEPENDABLE. After about a year and a half into both working a job and running DEPENDABLE, we landed our second and biggest client.

I decided to resign from my position as assistant manager of a fortune 500 company where I was earning a great salary with terrific benefits to work full time at our temporary staffing company. We had great successes and many clients that are still our clients to this day.

We had traveled to San Antonio for well over 15 years and always wanted to relocate here so when the opportunity presented itself in the end of 2009 my family and I packed up and moved to San Antonio.

We restructured our company as a Texas LLC and with guidance and directions from our area developer Linda Noltemeier Jones opened our office on the Westside of downtown San Antonio.

We choose Avenida Guadalupe as our headquarters because of the culture and type of neighborhood it is. We believe that the people of the Westside are some of the best prepared workforces that San Antonio has to offer.

We are engaged with several of the area community development programs to help the graduates with job opportunities. We partner with SAHA job plus program, Avenida Guadalupe, AARP, and several others to help people that want to help themselves.
